In the worksheet, students have to match a math problem with its correct answer and write the appropriate letter at the bottom of the sheet. Once they've matched things correctly, the letters they've written will spell MATH = COOL.

My two algebra classes had totally different responses:
Both classes pretty quickly figured out the message MATH = COOL and how to use that to complete the worksheet, but
- My first class had no interest in knowing how to complete the problems once the worksheet was complete. Finding funny anagrams like MOO CATL among the letters drew their attention.
- The second class wasn't satisfied with knowing the answers. They realized they would face similar problems soon and asked me to explain how to do a problem even once they knew what the answer was.
