Precalc Investigations
I have been blessed with a group of talented, self-motivated Precalculus students. They will continue to pursue a mathematical question until they have a satisfactory answer. To that end, I have assigned them several long-term investigation problems, and I have been pleasantly surprised by how well they have taken the challenges. When designing these investigations, I try to write questions with specific answers, so that students will know when they have found an answer. Below are three of the best investigations I've assigned. Feel free to use/modify any of the problems for your own classes.
