- Oonas: Russian for "We have it", emphasizing sharing. Also, Russia is a pretty cool place.
- A Family of Functions: Often when solving a differential equation, you don't just get one solution, but a family of them. Also, 'family' makes me think of community.
- Irrationally Thinking: Pun on the word 'irrational'.
- A Neighborhood of Points: When doing calculus, you often look locally, in a neighborhood around a point. 'Neighborhood' also suggests people getting together.
Thank you to everyone who has been visiting my website and checking out what I've been up to. I'm enjoying this website enough that I'd like to have my own web address and rename and refocus the site. I'd like my site to be about whatever cool stuff I'm doing, with a concentration on math. I'd also like my site to invite conversation and collaboration. In that vein, my site name should encompass these ideas. Below are possible names for the new site, and I'd like to hear what you think about them...

I'd vote for Irrationally Thinking at #1, A Family of Functions at #2, Oonas at #3, and a Neighborhood of Points a distant #4.

Thanks for the comments. I'm currently leaning toward a Family of Functions for the new name of my website. There are several reasons: functions and their graphs naturally lend themselves to pictures that I could use as a logo; Family of Functions could be abbreviated f o f, which has mathematical meaning as a composition of two functions; lastly, if you've heard the term family of functions, then you probably have a certain level of mathematical background.
