An if-then statement can be either true or false, as can its converse. For example,
- If I live in Denver, then I live in Colorado
- If I live in Colorado, then I live in Denver
- If you wear makeup, then you are pretty.
- If you are pretty, then you wear makeup.
Another student came up with
- If your name is Justin Timberlake, then your initials are J. T.
- If your initials are J. T., then your name is Justin Timberlake.
