I was pretty excited too, and here's the first recipe I tried.
- 1 c. dried navy beans
- 3 c. water
- 1 T. olive oil
- half a large onion, chopped
- 1 t. bouillon paste
- 10 oz. of uncooked sausage, sliced
Soak the beans for 6 hours ahead of time. Drain the soaked beans.
Saute the sausage and onion for a minute or two. Combine all ingredients in a pressure cooker. Cook at high pressure for eight minutes. Turn off the heat, let the pot naturally depressurize. Enjoy!
Look for more cooking adventures in the future, and I'd love to hear your pressure cooking stories. Above are a picture of my soup and the delicious brussel sprouts my wife made. (You'll have to ask her for the recipe!)
